UP News | Students from class 1 to 8 will be promoted without examination for academic year 2022-23

This notification is in line with Right to Education act, ensuring no student from classes 1 to 8 is barred from being promoted.

All the students in Uttar Pradesh between classes 1 to 8 that are studying in Basic Education Council schools will be promoted without examination for the 2022-23 academic session. The secretary of UP BEC earlier issued a notification regarding the same, stating that the same will be applicable for schools which are not council schools, but are recognized by the council.

Students will be given report cards based on annual exam

Although the students will not be detained under any circumstances, they will be distributed their report cards based on the annual examination. The said notification comes under the Right to Education act, that has a provision to promote students between classes 1 to 8 to the next class, ensuring they do not fail under any circumstances whatsoever.
