UP Police joins hands with Amazon for consumer awareness campaign to tackle online scams

The campaign will also raise awareness regarding online women safety.

In view of the recent rise in online scams and financial cyber fraud, UP Police has decided to collaborate with Amazon India for educational and awareness campaigns for consumers. Through this initiative, consumers will not only be alerted about the threat of such scams but will also be encouraged to adopt safer online shopping practices.

As part of the joint efforts by Amazon India and Uttar Pradesh Police, numerous initiatives will be undertaken to generate awareness regarding crimes like identity theft, online shopping financial fraud, and more. Furthermore, campaigns will also be targeted at making the online space safer for women.

It is noteworthy that Amazon India is already running 'Mission GraHAQ', its consumer education initiative in the country. The above-mentioned joint campaign will run alongside Mission GraHAQ, complementing the attempts at making India's digital space safer and more trustworthy for its billions of users.
