4-day WAVES 2025 summit kicks off in Mumbai | Here's what to expect!

The inaugural 4-day World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) is set to kick off today at BKC's Jio World Convention Centre. It promises to be one of India’s most significant media and entertainment gatherings to date. Further, Mumbai is expected to become this event's permanent location. 

WAVES 2025 boasts a line-up of industry heavyweights such as Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Anupam Kher, Hema Malini, Mithun Chakraborty, Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi and more.

Global participation

Bringing together more than 10,000 delegates, 1,000 creators, 300 companies, and 350 startups from over 90 countries, WAVES 2025 aims to connect creators across borders under the banner: "Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries." The summit will host 42 plenary sessions, 39 breakout discussions and 32 masterclasses. These will span sectors like broadcasting, films, AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics & Extended Reality), infotainment, and digital media.

The Bharat Pavilion: Kala to Code

A key attraction is the unveiling of Bharat Pavilion, themed “Kala to Code”. This experience includes four interactive zones tracing India’s journey – from ancient arts to futuristic tech, celebrating its role in global entertainment.
