Mumbai is currently facing extreme heat, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting temperatures to rise to 36°C by tomorrow, October 8. After a recent peak of 33.8°C recorded at the Santacruz Observatory, the city anticipates temperatures between 35°C and 36°C in the coming week.

The delayed withdrawal of the southwest monsoon is expected to bring thunderstorms beginning Sunday evening. Meanwhile, the phenomenon known as “October heat” will continue due to shifting wind patterns and low rainfall.
