Expanding beyond music & entertainment.

The World Pickleball League (WPBL) has confirmed Jio World Garden in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex as the official venue for Season 2, scheduled from January 24 to February 8, 2026. The venue boasts world-class infrastructure and versatility, having hosted international artists such as Backstreet Boys, Bryan Adams, Slash, and Armin van Buuren, as well as Indian icons like Arijit Singh, AR Rahman, and Diljit Dosanjh.

This will be the first time that Jio World Garden will be used for a franchise-based sports league. Its reputation as a premier event space in BKC is the primary reason it is reserved for events, such as weddings and concerts.

Expanding the WPBL experience

With six teams, marquee players, and celebrity franchise owners, Season 2 promises a fan-first, immersive experience. The league aims to blend sport and entertainment, introducing upgraded live elements and interactive features. After a successful launch at the Cricket Club of India, WPBL’s return to Mumbai includes a renewed focus on:

  • Fan engagement

  • Global participation

  • Grassroots development

  • Innovative storytelling formats
