Chimbai Village Theatre is Bandra's new black box space: Know more!

A welcoming space for both artists and audiences.

Bandra just got a brand-new stage for its buzzing creative crowd. Chimbai Village Theatre, tucked inside the sea-facing Matsyalaya Bungalow, is a black-box performance space that seats 40–50 people and can morph into whatever the act demands: plays, stand-up, dance and even MMA!

Bringing art, community, and creativity together

Nestled within Bandra's Chimbai Village, the new Chimbai Village Theatre is filling a critical cultural void. Following the closures of intimate venues like Haiku and Cuckoo Club, this flexible 40-50-seat black box space has arrived as a vital creative hub. Part of the Iron Buzz Collective, which includes a café and tattoo parlour, the theatre is already drawing curious walk-ins.

Far more than just a stage for plays, its ambitious programming spans dance, MMA, pilates, and stand-up comedy. By embedding itself so organically within the neighbourhood, it is quickly becoming a welcoming space for both artists and audiences.
