Dry Days in August 2024: Mumbai liquor shops to remain CLOSED on THESE days

Stock up, Mumbaikars.

Whether you are a local or just visiting, keeping track of dry days in Mumbai can save you from a rather unfortunate pub crawl. In August 2024, there are two key days when the taps will be dry and the pints on pause in Mumbai, adhering to the Alcohol Laws of India.

On August 15, Mumbai will be observing a dry day to celebrate 76 years of independence. While the city commemorates its freedom, all pubs, bars, and liquor shops will be closed. It’s a day to honour the significance of the occasion with a touch of sobriety and respect.

Then, on August 26, Mumbai will once again go dry for Janmashtami, to uphold religious sanctity and maintain public order.

So, pencil these dates into your diary and plan your social stumbles wisely!
