In a move to boost the connectivity of metropolitan cities with Tier 2 and 3 cities, IndiGo has decided to launch 38 daily flights in the month of September. With this initiative, the airline has tried to ensure improved accessibility of Lucknow, Mumbai and Indore from some other cities in the nation and vice versa. Out of these 38 flights, 2 will be freshly launched while 12 others will be relaunched by the airline. Additionally, the latest fleet will also consists 24 connecting flights.

IndiGo, a major Indian airline has added 38 flights on the daily schedule, all set to strengthen connectivity between metro cities and Tier 2 and 3 cities. In a statement, IndiGo officials mentioned that new flights will operate between Pune and Raipur. Besides, a string of flights will be relaunched on Lucknow-Ranchi, Lucknow-Raipur, Mumbai-Guwahati, Indore-Ahmedabad, Indore-Chennai and Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam routes.

While some of the flights will be brand new, the upcoming fleet will also consist of redesigned vehicles. According to Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer of IndiGo, "These flights will cater to the increased demand for travel and improve accessibility between metro and Tier 2 or 3 cities. The increased accessibility will also promote trade and commerce."

With improved connectivity across different regions of the country, trade and commerce activities will be fueled, resulting in an accelerated economic growth for the nation. Reportedly, the low-cost airline service is also working on plans to introduce more such flights linking varied parts of the nation.
