Helping people with delicious burgers before/after their long journey, McDonald’s India opens 1st drive-thru at a distance of 100 meters from Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport today. Accessible by a dedicated drive-thru lane, the outlet features four kiskos to help people save time and a customer order display board. Spanning over 3000 sq ft, the airport outlet also houses a McCafe and dine-in-area for customers.
As per officials at McDonald's India (West and South), the aim of this restaurant is to combine convenience, speed, and quality, and to make the journey of people more relaxed. Further he added that this initiative comes as a part of an expanding strategy adopted for Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Moreover, about 40% of the new stores coming up in Mumbai in the next five years, will be drive-thrus.
