India's commercial capital, Mumbai, is all set to get its own annual festival - akin to some of the biggest city fests in the world, like the Sydney Festival. The state's Directorate of Tourism (DoT) announced that the much-awaited 'Mumbai Festival' will be held from January 20-28, 2024.

The all-new Mumbai Festival 2024 will celebrate the many different facets of the city's rich culture. The fest will feature food stalls, cultural performances and events, and a slew of music concerts, as well. One of the major attractions at this festival will be the 'Mumbai Walk' where heroes of the city, like Dabbawalas and BEST drivers, will be felicitated. Moreoever, some of the major events would be centred around activities like Maha Mumbai Expo, Earth Movie Contest, Beach Fest, Cinema Fest and so on!

Touted to be the biggest annual festival of its kind in India, the theme for Mumbai Festival 2024 is 'Sapno ka Getaway'. At the launch event, the Mumbai Festival logo and the theme song were also released.
