Attention, Mumbaikars! The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) will halt its operations on May 9 for six hours in order to fortify its premises for the monsoon season. The temporary runway lockdown will take place between 11 AM - 5 PM.

In a recent notification by CSMIA, the authority announced, "On 9th May, both the runways of #MumbaiAirport will remain temporarily non-operational on the account of pre-monsoon maintenance and repair work from 11:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs."

To carry out the drill in a smooth manner, passengers have been urged to get in touch with their respective airlines to enquire about any scheduled flights on the given day. The annual drill aims at maintaining seamless operational continuity and bolstering travel safety measures.
