Mumbai commuters, brace for a bumpy ride! Western Railway will conduct a significant repair operation on the nights of April 11-12 and April 12-13, causing widespread disruption to Mumbai's rail network. The maintenance involves re-girdering of a bridge between Mahim and Bandra stations, with each night's block lasting approximately 9.5 hours.

185 trains partially cancelled, 110 extra services added

Train operations will be suspended from 11 PM on April 11 to 8:30 AM on April 12, and again from 11:30 PM on April 12 to 9 AM on April 13. The block will affect fast and slow lines differently, so commuters are urged to double-check their train timings.

A staggering 334 trains will be fully cancelled, while 185 will face partial cancellations over the two days. To ease the rush, WR plans to run 110 extra services. Additionally, nine long-distance trains will be partially cancelled, and 11 others rescheduled or regulated.

Several stations, including Mahalaxmi, Prabhadevi, and Khar Road, will see trains skipping stops during the block. With over 30 lakh daily commuters on this line, WR advises everyone to plan ahead and stay updated. Chief PRO Vineet Abhishek urged passengers to plan accordingly, as the repair is essential for safety.
