Mumbai Police issues advisory for motorists in Bandra West, ahead of Christmas and NYE | Details

Advisory to ensure smooth traffic flow till January 5, 2025.

In anticipation of heavy traffic congestion during New Year's Eve celebrations, the Mumbai Traffic Police has released a traffic advisory for motorists in the Bandra West area. The advisory, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, addresses expected congestion due to events at Bandra Reclamation, K.C. Road, and Carter Road. This also aims to ensure smooth traffic flow till January 5, 2025, during the festive period.

Check key routes-

To minimise traffic disruption, parking restrictions will be enforced along key routes.

Parking Restrictions:

  • Parking is prohibited on both sides of Carter Road, from Otters Club to Café Coffee Day.

  • Parking is also prohibited along K.C. Marg, near the Reclamation Bus Depot.

Road Closures:

  • Reclamation Road Southbound, from Zenda Point to MSRDC, will be closed to entry.

Alternate Routes:

  • Vehicles heading towards MSRDC must take a U-turn before the Toll Plaza and proceed via the northbound lane.

Exceptions:

  • Emergency service vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.

Mumbai Police prepares for heavy crowd at key spots

Mumbai Police has also planned security measures for other popular celebration spots, including Marine Drive, Gateway of India, and Colaba, where heavy traffic is expected on December 31. Motorists are advised to follow the arrangements to ensure a hassle-free experience during the festive season.
