A large-scale public event titled ‘Marathicha Awaaz’ is scheduled to take place today, July 5, at Mumbai's NSCI Dome (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium), between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. In view of the expected crowd and traffic movement, the Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an advisory urging commuters to plan their travel accordingly.

The rally, being held at Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, commemorates the state’s decision to revoke the contentious resolutions linked to the three-language policy. It is likely to cause congestion in and around the Worli area. Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and consider alternative routes during the event hours.

‘Marathicha Awaaz’, announced as a non-partisan public gathering, marks a symbolic celebration of the recent withdrawal of controversial government resolutions related to language policy. The event’s visual identity features no party symbols or flags, highlighting only a graphic representation of Maharashtra along with the names of the key hosts. Authorities recommend that residents and commuters stay updated through official traffic handles for real-time route updates and diversions.
