Mumbai's current temperature and weather have improved significantly! On Monday, the city experienced a chill in the air as the minimum temperature dropped to 13.7°C, marking the coldest December day in nine years, with Mumbai previously recording 11.4°C in 2015.
This chilly spell followed Mumbai's hottest December day in over a decade, with temperatures reaching 37.3°C last Wednesday. It also surpassed the recent record of 16.5°C, the coldest night of the season, set a few days ago.
This recent dip in temperature has been countered by a rise in daytime heat, influenced by Cyclone Fengal, which shifted wind patterns, introducing moisture-laden southerly winds to the city. Meanwhile, Mumbai's air has improved with the AQI at 104 (moderate), making it a great time for outdoor activities.
Looking ahead, Mumbaikars can expect a week of pleasant weather. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts clear skies, with temperatures ranging from 16°C to 32°C. Today, Mumbai's minimum reading is expected to be around 16°C, and the day will bring a mix of warmth and humidity.
