The launch of the S-145 bus route by Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) in sync with Chalo App, marks the operation of the first public bus service on India’s longest sea bridge - Mumbai Trans Harbour Link. This initiative extends BEST's offerings to the Ulwe node of Navi Mumbai, enhancing connectivity in the vicinity.

Know the MTHL bus routes:

The designated routes will be:

  • The S-145 route will run between Konkan Bhawan, Belapur, and the World Trade Centre, via the Atal Setu

  • Stops along the route include Sai Sangam, Targhar, Ulwe Node, Aai Tarumata, Kamdhenu Oaklands, MTHL, Eastern Freeway, CSMT, Churchgate Station, and Cuff Parade

  • Initially, there will be two morning services from Belapur to the World Trade Centre in Cuffe Parade

  • Additionally, two evening services will operate in the opposite direction

The BEST officials are currently figuring out the fare structure, in relation to toll charges. Further, to gather feedback and evaluate the service, a recent test run was also conducted on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link stretch, also known as Atal Setu. Additionally, a 'bus-priority lane' might also be introduced soon, to ease commute.
