Mumbai’s culinary scene is in the spotlight as three of its iconic restaurants, Americano, The Table, and The Bombay Canteen have secured spots on the extended list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025. The list, unveiled ahead of the main awards ceremony in Seoul, features seven Indian restaurants, with Mumbai leading the charge.

Mumbai’s culinary icons stand tall

Americano, ranked 71st, continues to charm diners with its creative cuisine and cocktails in the vibrant Kala Ghoda arts district. Colaba's The Table, a Mumbai staple for over 15 years, made a triumphant return at 88th, thanks to chef Will Aghajanian’s revamped menu.

Parel's The Bombay Canteen, celebrating its 10th anniversary, ranked 91st. Known for its inventive Indian cuisine, it remains a favourite among both locals and tourists.

Joining Mumbai’s food stars are new entrants like Bengaluru’s Farmlore (68th), which won the One to Watch Award, and Kasauli’s Naar (66th), Chef Prateek Sadhu’s experimental Himalayan retreat. Delhi’s Inja (87th) and Dum Pukht (89th) also made the cut, showcasing India’s diverse culinary excellence.

With Mumbai’s restaurants leading the way, the stage is set for an exciting Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 announcement later this month.
