Navy Day on December 4, marks the end of Navy Week and ahead of the final show, India's elite marine commandos are stunning Mumbaikars. The units displayed precision and advanced training during celebrations on Sunday, at Mumbai's Gateway of India. The demonstration emphasised the Navy's crucial role in safeguarding India’s maritime borders and national security.

Navy Day also honours the group's pivotal contribution during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, particularly its success in Operation Trident. The rehearsals and demonstrations are currently ongoing, culminating in a final performance tomorrow.

Navy Day 2024 Mumbai | Know what to expect

As part of the Navy Day festivities, Mumbai is currently hosting a thrilling Air Show alongside other maritime activities till December 4. And the finale promises to be a phenomenal affair at the Gateway of India, starting at 4 PM. Audiences can enjoy breathtaking aerial displays by naval helicopters, fighter jets, and stealth operations by MARCOS commandos, highlighting the Navy's power and capabilities.

Look for a spot either directly in front of the Taj Palace Hotel promenade or near the center of the road, for the best viewing experience.

Debut of Operational Demonstration at Puri Beach

Alongside the Mumbai Airshow, Navy Day festivities will include a spectacular Operational Demonstration at Puri Beach, Odisha, on December 4th. This debut event will feature 15 warships, 40 aircraft, and live combat exercises, including stealth operations by MARCOS commandos, honouring India’s maritime legacy and the Navy’s crucial defence role.
