New bi-weekly Mumbai-Goa train from Bandra Terminus gets nod; inaugural run on August 29!

The Railway Board has approved to start a new bi-weekly train service, linking Bandra Terminus in Mumbai with Goa and Maharashtra's Konkan region. The inaugural trip kicks off on August 29, but the departure will be from Borivali, a major WR station, for this launch instead of Bandra. 

Know timings, halts & other details

The new trains will use 20 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches known for its safety, comfort, and efficiency. The Mumbai to Goa Train schedule and stops according to the notification are:

Train no. 10116 Madgaon - Bandra Terminus:

  • Departure Time: 07:40 AM (every Tuesday and Thursday)

  • Arrival Time: 11:40 PM

Train no. 10115 Bandra Terminus - Madgoan:

  • Departure Time: 06:50 AM (every Wednesday and Friday)

  • Arrival Time: 10:00 PM

On their journey, these new trains will make 13 scheduled halts at Borivali, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Veer, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Sawantwadi, Thivim, and Karmali.

Notably, all trains to Konkan and Goa depart from Central Railway stations in Mumbai. The new Mumbai-Goa service from Bandra Terminus will be a game-changer for tourists from the city's western suburbs, making those coastal getaways even more accessible.
