In a bid to enhance its aesthetic appeal for tourists, beautification work has begun at Mumbai's Colaba Causeway. As part of the project, a new hawking stall, featuring modern amenities, was inaugurated in the area. This new stall was given to cloth seller who has been operating in the area for the last 28 years.

Notably, the plan is to standardise the hawking stalls in Colaba Causeway to give a unique identity to the area. Alongwside the inaugurated stall, 187 more stalls will be given to sellers in the area if the project is deemed to be a success.

Apart from the uniformity in the hawking stalls, the beautification project will also include installing new lights and improving the state of pavements in the area.
