Western Railways to start new Summer Special Superfast Train linking Mumbai & Kanpur from May 7

Mumbai Central–Kanpur Anwarganj Weekly Superfast Special train will depart from the Maximum City every Saturday

In an attempt to add more convenience for passengers and improve connectivity between Mumbai and Kanpur, Western Railway has rolled out a special train service between the two commercial cities. The Superfast Summer Special Train will depart every Saturday from Mumbai Central starting May 7 and reach Kanpur's Anwarganj the next day, and is expected to cater to the increased footfalls during summers.

Train number 09186 will make the return journey from Kanpur to Mumbai every Sunday. Since this service is being launched exclusively as a summer special, the train will ply on this route only till June 12, 2022.

The weekly train (09185) will depart from Mumbai Central at 11: 05 hrs and reach Kanpur at 15:35 hours, the next day via Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodra, Kota, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, Achhnera, Mathura, Mathura Cantt, Hathras City, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kannauj and Bilhaur.

During the return journey, train number 09186 will leave Anwarganj at 18:40 hours on Sunday and reach Mumbai Central at 22:30 hours the next day via the same route.

As per the announcement made by the Railways, the Mumbai Central–Kanpur Anwarganj Weekly Superfast Special train will have AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
