World Music Day | Mumbai to host first-ever Maharashtra Radio Festival on June 21

To mark World Music Day 2025, Maharashtra‘s Department of Cultural Affairs will host the first-ever Maharashtra Radio Festival and the Maharashtra Asha Radio Gaurav Awards. The event will take place at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium, Nariman Point on June 21. Entry to the event is absolutely free!

Celebrating the legacy of radio

The festival will honour decades of contribution by radio and radio artists. It will include panel discussions with renowned radio personalities and a special segment dedicated to radio-themed film songs and live performances by Sudesh Bhosale, Shrikant Narayan and Sanjeevani Bhelande.

Moreover, twelve radio awards will be presented, including the prestigious Asha Radio Gaurav Award, named in honour of legendary singer Asha Bhosale. Dedicated award categories will further recognise Marathi radio content and artists for preserving the state’s cultural heritage. All awards, except the Lifetime Achievement Award, will be selected through a nomination process.;
