Home to several unique buildings like the Antilia, Mumbai has now added another feather to its cap. This includes the setting up of 42-storey-high rehabilitation towers in Mumbai, which are the world's tallest of their kind. This 4-towered SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) Project will provide homes to those living in slums, near the Dhobi Ghat. Currently, around 1000 families have received keys to their new homes during the Phase 1 handover, at this new sky-scrapper in Mumbai.

Will eventually become home to 16,000 slum residents

Constructed in collaboration with Omkar Realtors and Piramal Realty, houses in these rehabilitation towers overlook the Arabian Sea and the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. As planned, this Slum Rehabilitation Project in Mumbai will be of the foremost benefit to dhobis. Along with that, it will also be beneficial to those involved in transportation, ironing, dyeing, and drying occupations.

Furthermore, these rehabilitation towers will boast community welfare centers, society offices, etc. It will also have 16 state-of-the-art elevators, manufactured by the premier German brand, Schindler. When all the handover phases of this project are completed, nearly 16,000 slum dwellers, near Dhobi Ghat, will call it home.
