Goa is ready to host some magnificent events like the Sunburn festival, Ironman 70.3, Eco-music festival and Serendipity Arts Festival this year! This is a youth friendly move by the state government seeking to attract greater audience. The idea behind this is to generate higher revenue which stood battered by the corona virus pandemic. Prudent with their preps, even the first phase of new airport at Mopa in North Goa is expected to be commissioned by September.
However, one significant change seen this year is that Goa Tourism Board has granted in-principle approval. In an effort to promote local artists, organisers have been asked to include Goans in the line-up for their events.

Sunburn Festival, 2022
Sunburn is India’s biggest Electronic Dance Music Festival. It attracts more than 3 million people and hundreds of artists every year. After years of being held on Vagator Beach in Goa, it is once again calling for music fanatics in December, 2022. However, this year organisers have been urged to not only include local talent but also showcase Goan culture and heritage.
Ironman 70.3, 2022
2nd Edition of Ironman 70.3 is coming to Goa to check your endurance abilities. Post receiving a nod from Goa tourism department, organisers are all set to prepare for Ironman 70.3. It is a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC). The multi-sport race stretches for 70.3 miles i.e. almost 113 km, consisting of 1.2 mile of swimming, 56 mile of bike ride and 13.1-mile of running.

Eco-music Festival
Organisers of another mega event, the eco-music festival, want to host the next edition of the event in Goa and the board has given them a preliminary nod. Organizers of the eco-music festival, too, have been urged to showcase Goan culture while maintaining their original concept.
Serendipity Arts Festival, 2022
After two virtual editions, Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) is finally back on the ground in Goa to celebrate the ever-growing universe of artists worldwide. Scheduled to be held between December 15 to 23 this year, the 5th edition of the SAF is pegged to be one of the largest multi-media art initiatives in the South Asian region. Sweeping through 9 days, SAF will be bringing artists, curators and collective collaborations to state capital Panaji, from across the world and here’s what you can expect from the upcoming season
