A group titled as ‘Project Goemcho Goenkar’ and comprising of Goan citizens, has undertaken a private initiative to carry out 3D videography and 4D cinematographic digitisation of all villages, beaches and landmarks in Goa. This group’s prime focus lies on informing the present and upcoming generations of youngsters, about the rich heritage, culture and traditions of the state. Project Goemcho Goenkar’s initiative is a first-of-its-kind in India and it marks a progressive path of digital development.
3D videography & 4D cinematography technologies to be used to digitize Goa
As per a statement by a spokesperson of Goemcho Goenkar, this exclusive project includes the digitisation of natural touristic landmarks using 4D cinematographic tech, besides the more common 3D videography or VR (virtual reality) technology. While the prominent landmarks and tourist spots will be digitalised in 4D, the other parts of the entire state will be digitalised using normal videography. With the flow of funds in the near future, the 4D digitalisation process of the entire region of Goa will be executed.
To digitalize the state’s beaches, rivers, lakes, village roads and traditional festivals amidst others, Goemcho Goenkar will be using state-of-the-art graphics, animation, virtual tech, 3D videography and 4D cinematography technologies. This venture is being set in motion to capture the real essence of today’s Goa in a cutting-edge digital format which can be experienced later on.
The complete project will feature a plethora of videos and photographs of every area in Goa and there will also be interviews with important personalities, cultural and youth icons and so on.
