Knocksense Shorts| NH-17 from Kundapur to Goa will become four-laned by December

The strategic highway passes through almost 45 km of rolling terrain and 24 km mountainous terrain.

National Highway-17, stretching for 187 km between Kundapur in Karnataka and Goa, will become four-laned by the end of this year. 173 km or 92.42 % of the project work has already been completed.

The project will reduce travel time, prevent accidents, optimize vehicle operating costs and help commuters save fuel.

The entire stretch has the Arabian Sea coast on one side and the Western Ghats on the other side, promising a magnificent, scenic view. It connects major towns along the way, including Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Panaji, Margao, Karwar, Udupi, Surathkal, Mangalore, Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kanyakumari.
