With July almost here, Lucknow University (LU) has received as many as 1,200 applications from foreign students in undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic session 2023-2024. As per officials, this is the highest number of foreign applications secured by LU yet. In 2021, only 371 foreign students applied for admissions, 800 in 2022, while in 2023 LU managed to cross the whopping 1,000 mark.
These applications include students from Japan applying to study political science, from China wanting to learn Hindi, Malaysian students inclined towards Urdu and others interested in management studies. This year, the university will host a richer student diversity, which will eventually improve it’s international ranking.
The main reason behind the surge in foreign student application is also attributed to the A++ stamp by the National Assessment Accreditation Council on the University, stated LU spokesperson.
