Knocksense Shorts | Students with Disabilities can now apply for Pre & Post-Matric Scholarship

A special National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has been developed by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Government of India. Reportedly, the PwDs through this portal can apply for pre-matric and post-matric scholarship schemes. To be eligible, an applicant must have a valid certificate for 40% or more disability and an annual family income of less than ₹2.50 lakh from all sources.

Online applications for pre-matric scholarships for the year 2022-23 can be submitted till 30th September. The last date for application verification by the educational institution has been fixed as 16th October. Similarly, the last date for registration for a post-matric scholarship has been fixed as 31st October. The last date for verification of applications by the educational institution has been set as 15th November.
