Indore airport drops to 2nd in cleanliness rankings; Check out the top 10 cleanest airports in India
The Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport in Indore has dropped down a spot in India's top 10 clean airports, ranked 2nd this time around in a survey report by Airports Council International (ACI). Indore airport has also dropped out of the Top 40 clean airports in Asia, now ranked 44th in the list.
Where has Indore airport dropped points?
The ACI survey report took into account a total of 33 points relating to passenger convenience, hygiene and slew of other criterion along with hygiene-related ones such as "cleanliness of washrooms" and "overall cleanliness at the airport". It was in the latter that Indore airport got its points deducted, losing its title of India's cleanest airport.
What are India's top 10 cleanest airports?
The Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi has trumped Indore airport to clinch the top spot in the rankings. Along with these two, Chennai International Airport, Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar and Goa Airport make up the top five in the ACI list.
Amritsar's Sri Guru Ram Das Ji Airport and Tiruchirappalli International Airport in Trichy have been ranked 6th and 7th, while the 8th, 9th and 10th spots have gone to Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport, Pune International Airport and Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, respectively.
