People in Indore can now report traffic violations on spot; new WhatsApp helpline launched

In a bid to solve traffic-related problems in the city in a quicker and more efficient manner, Indore Traffic Police released a WhatsApp helpline 075876-32011. Drivers in Indore will now be able to reach out to the traffic police more readily. They can report problems and incidents on the road more conveniently by means of photos, voice notes, and videos. Reporting incidents on the spot will help in documenting every detail of incidents like accidents, misconduct and traffic violation.

Under the Yatayat Prabandhan Mitra Yojana, many civilians have volunteered and helped in managing the traffic with more efficiency. In the past, the traffic police have also ventured out on the road in civilian clothing to catch rule violators. It has been observed that due to this, Indore drivers have become relatively compliant with the traffic rules.
