Hitting two targets with the same shot, Indore Traffic Police has come up with an inventive initiative to regulate traffic in the city. Now, traffic rule violators will have to manage and administer vehicular movements at intersections, in case they fail to pay the fine amount. With this ongoing project, the authorities are trying to deter the public from flouting the norms on one hand, while they are getting easy helpers for traffic regulation, on the other.
Rule-breakers to take a pledge of ensuring compliance to the norms
As per reports, the DCP of Traffic Police, Umakant Chaudhary, informed that drivers are challaned for violating traffic rules, wherein they have to pay a fine amount. Despite this, they repetitively indulge in such acts of road rush and thus, this project will help in discouraging them. It has been reported that the flouters will also be asked to take a pledge of adhering to the traffic rules.
Additionally, this initiative is turning into an instrument of spreading awareness about traffic rules. Those who break the rules are made to wear the Traffic Police jacket and then they educate others about the importance of following the stated rules. This, in turn, encourages them to ensure compliance with safe driving standards.
Buses parked on the roads are being removed by the Traffic Department
The buses stationed on the sides of the roads create umpteen problems for the seamless flow of traffic. In view of this, the Traffic Department and the Municipal Corporation are transporting such buses to the trenching ground. In addition to this, the bus drivers and operators have been strictly cautioned against parking their vehicles on the roads.
