Indore News | Panic buttons to be installed in buses for safety of women passengers

Indore Transport Commissioner S.K. Jha has issued instructions to all RTOs to expedite the installation of devices in all the city buses.

With a motive to boost safety for women passengers, the Indore Traffic Commissioner has passed instructions to install panic buttons and GPS tracking devices in city buses.

Reportedly, these buttons, which will be installed on every seat of both AC and non-AC city buses will connect the bus to dial 100 police control centre. The officers and interceptors of the roadways will be able to expedite rapid help by means of this mechanism.

For further aid, the GPS trackers will monitor the exact location of the service, boosting immediate assistance at the site. With this, the roadways department will also be able to access the live location of the Indore buses.

Now, Indore Transport Commissioner S.K. Jha has issued instructions to all Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) to expedite the installation of devices, ensuring that the task is completed promptly through an organized campaign.
