The number of Jaipurites who are flying in and out of the city on a daily basis is skyrocketing. People are recognizing flights as a much faster and better alternative to other modes of transport. Owing to that, the number of vehicles at the airport- both personal as well as cabs, are constantly rising, making for rather congested entry points.
Now, however, matters are expected to be different because of new lanes that will come up at the entry of the airport.

What’s the update?
After a long wait, there will finally be a segregation of private vehicles from commercial and cabs at Jaipur Airport. This is something that was pretty much the need of the hour and it will surely bring about some semblance of decongestion as you enter the airport.
As of now, the porch area is especially inaccessible and creates a hassle for flyers as well as those that drop them off. Cabs too are stuck in the middle with nowhere to go. With the help of segregation of traffic, one can expect a better flying experience from Jaipur.

How will it be implemented?
The plan to implement this rule is rather simple and foolproof. All the way from the entrance of the airport premises to the porch area, there will be segregated routes- one for cabs and the other for private vehicles. This is quite similar to what is seen at Delhi international airport and a few others in the country.
Apart from just that, there will also be a new parking space for private vehicles. The parking structure is looking more towards the long run and will surely make getting into the airport an easier task.
Additionally, the time limit for pick ups and drop offs has also been reduced to just three minutes, as opposed to eight minutes earlier.

With Jaipur’s current booming status, it is easy to lose sight of things like this. The airport often gives the first impression of a city and this one certainly doesn’t paint a pretty picture.
However, with the help of the new segregation idea, we can expect much better and more streamlined traffic within the airport premises.
