The state of Rajasthan replenished its vaccine stocks with the arrival of a new consignment on Monday, consisting of about 4.6 lakh vaccine doses. With this, the state has received around 49 lakh vaccine doses in July, actively pushing its vaccination campaign across all districts. With the arrival of the new consignment, the immunity programme in Jaipur has also been scaled. Until now up to 32,97,240 doses have been administered in the capital city.

The Health Department in Jaipur revived the vaccination programme for about 115 labours, who were left without a jab in the previous session held for them. The CMO of Jaipur -I informed that the vaccination teams reached the Triveni Nagar areas and administered the COVID shot to the workers near the nullah.
Meanwhile, the COVID vaccination drive in Rajasthan is charting a stable rise with the timely restocking of vaccine doses, bolstering the public immunity ahead of the anticipated ‘third wave’. As per official reports, around 31.13% of the population in the state have received at least the first dose of the COVID vaccine as yet. Of this, around 8.5% are fully immunised.
Additionally, the health department has also started to cement the medical infrastructure in rural areas to further solidify resistance to the virus spread. As per the state of the Health Minister, the state has also started to equip more than 18,000 medical institutes here with modern tech facilities and related equipment. Besides, the testing and screening potential in the state has also been increased to 1.5 lakhs tests per day.
