Khiladi Kumar and our Proper Patola have been been roped in for Karan Johar’s next big release, Kesari, and they are wrapping up the last lap by shooting an elaborate romantic song at Jaipur, in Rajasthan.
The producers and directors reportedly wanted to shoot the intimate song at a location with vivid old-world aesthetics so they narrowed it down to Jaipur as this city is one of the most picturesque places!
The ‘Kesari’ story is based on, as claimed by historians, the ‘bravest war ever fought’- the Battle Of Saragarhi in 1897 and in this high-action movie, Akshay is playing a gallant Sikh soldier.
The movie will have top-hole action battle sequences where Akshay who is portraying the role of Havaldar Ishar Singh, will fight a riotous war with 10,000 Afghani tribesman using his paltry army, as was the case in the war.

Although majorly outnumbered, the brave regiment is said to have fought with all their might with Havaldar Ishar Singh leading them on! Sikh military personnel commemorate the battle every year on the September 12 as ‘Saragarhi Day’.
This movie will be directed by Anurag Singh and the romantic song will be choreographed by Vijay Ganguli. Parineeti is playing the role of Akshay’s wife and it will be interesting to witness this unusual romantic chemistry on screen.
‘Kesari’ will release on March 21, 2019 and we have high hopes of a much-needed respite from the cliched heavy-duty action films!
