In the race of forts and monuments, Jaipur takes the lead by a mile, with a plethora of phenomenal and mesmerizing pieces of architecture. Jaipur truly has plenty to offer yet people only visit the most prominent sites, thereby overlooking the other sites which deserve equal attention! One such unsung beauty of Jaipur is the Royal Gaitor Tumbas. Consisting of beautiful pavilions covered with exquisite domes and cenotaphs distributed throughout the complex, this place also goes by its regional name- Gaitor ki Chhatriyan.
‘A Tomb for many Maharajas’
A must-visit for all the tourists who would like to have a moment of solitude and peace, Gaitor ki Chhatriyan is seated far away from the bustle of the Pink City and consists of white marble tombs of Maharaja Pratap Singh, Madho Singh II and Jai Singh II.
These cenotaphs are a perfect blend of Islamic and Hindu temple architecture, among which the cenotaph of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II is tagged as the most impressive one, with fine carvings on it!
These intricately carved out structures sit well on the terrains of Aravalli, providing for jaw-dropping sceneries and all of it can be easily checked out within 30 minutes or so! The most attractive feature evident in these structures is the round canopy, found on top of every pavilion, which used to be a common architectural feature found in Rajasthani monuments.

BTW to avoid the blistering heat of summer, travellers are advised to visit this place during the cooler months, especially in the morning.
