After a long hiatus caused by the second wave of the pandemic, a string of relaxations is being implemented across Jaipur and other districts of Rajasthan. As per the new guidelines, tourism centres will be revived for visitors from today onwards and malls, shopping complexes, gyms and yoga centres are also permitted to operate. In addition to this, minibuses will run from today while citizens will be able to avail the Jaipur Metro facilities from tomorrow.
Tourism spots to welcome visitors from 9 AM to 3 PM
As per reports, visitors will be allowed within museums and monuments from 9 AM to 3 PM every day. Earlier, all tourism spots were closed due to the accelerated spread of infections and now, the Rajasthan Department of Museums and Archaeology has made the new declaration after a green signal from ASI. Further, stadiums will also be reopened from today.
The authorities have asked managers of various frequented spots to assure complete adherence to COVID protocol and repetitive sanitisation drives. As a part of this, visitors will have to strictly follow social distancing and masking protocol. Additionally, consumption of tobacco products by tourists or staff will be completed prohibited.
As of now, elephant rides at Amer fort will be revived with 50% capacity but night tourism activities including light and sound shows will remain non-functional.
Weekend curfew to be operational from Saturday 5 PM to Monday 5 AM
As per the new guidelines, the schedule of the weekend curfew has been shortened. Now, it will remain in place from 5 PM on Saturday to 5 AM on Monday. On Tuesday, 45 new cases and 197 recoveries were marked in Jaipur. Cumulatively, a total of 1,86,766 individuals have been affected by the viral contagion in the capital city while the current death toll stands at 1,964.
