Located in one of the biggest industrial metropolis cities of Uttar Pradesh, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) stands as a hallmark of higher education in Kanpur.
Adding to its credibility, CSJMU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a prestigious university in Russia, Petrozavodsk State University (PSU) on May 15. Through this initiative, students will get a chance to visit and study in Russia and vice versa.
1st international agreement of the university
This is the first such international agreement for CSJMU, and was signed in the presence of Prof Vinay Pathak, Vice-Chancellor of CSJMU and Prof Marina Gosdeva, Head of the International Department of PSU, Russia.
With this, the students of CSJMU will not only be able to guided by teachers from abroad but will also carry out research with the students there. Key areas of this initiative include lecture series, a joint research programme, faculty exchange programme, students exchange programme, amongst others.
Moreover, PSU is a pioneer in diabetes and construction research and development. Soon, a joint research programme is expected to start for students and teachers of the two universities.
