IIT Kanpur’s Nirman Accelerator Program reveals 15 startups to receive mentoring from IIT-K

The program invited applications from manufacturing startups engaged in healthcare and agriculture domains from July 21, 2022.

The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur had launched Nirman Accelerator Program, earlier this year, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

As part of this, now, a total of 15 startups have been selected for the programme to engage in health-tech and agri-tech domains under the guidance of IIT-K. This collaboration with the department of science and technology aims to revive the manufacturing domain in the country.

15 Startups selected under the program and more

The 15 startups selected for the Nirman Accelerator Program are LCB Fertilizers, Saptkrishi Scientific, BomLife, Polycycling Solutions, Surobhi AgroIndustries, Primary Healthtech, Lenek Technologies, Aana Crop Solutions, Wander Continental Flyer, Climec Lab, ProPlant Foods, Meukron Technologies, Xfinito Biodesigns, Life and Limb, and NadiPulse Prognostics.

The 6-month-long programme will be divided into four segments: principles of product growth, engineering acceleration, navigating the compliance puzzle and leading to next-stage growth. The winning startup at the end of the six-month period will receive cash prize of ₹10 lakh, and additional funding of ₹50 lakh.

The programme will also offer workshops, one-on-one mentoring support, diving deep into customised support for clinical validation, and business and investor connections. SIIC at IIT-K comes with a vast experience of working with promising innovators and startups that can leverage optimum social impact.
