Who doesn’t love momos? If you truly think about it, momos are actually travellers who’ve traveled from the hills to the plains; from thelas to 5-star hotels, this Tibetan delicacy is unparalleled in the culinary world.
Us northerners have Indianized this dish even further and have come up with variants like tandoori momos, gravy momos and so on but the base of it is mostly spiced meat or veggies wrapped in a soft dough casing. The versatile nature of this item makes it our absolute favourite- be it any season, time or occasion, momos always have our hearts!
Keeping our perpetual infatuation towards momos in mind, the famous Lucknow based eatery, Nainital Momos has opened an outlet in the city and we’re freaking out!

Momos, steamed or fried, are always savoured with accompaniments like mayonnaise, hot sauce, chutneys, that’s made with garlic, chillies, tomatoes and other spices. This food item can be relished anyhow and we can never get enough of them! A lot can happen over a plate of momos, and we’re honestly super into the whole new outlet and everything it offers.
Nainital Momos, situated in the Civil Lines area, is what ‘momo fine-dine’ looks like! Exposed brick walls, a dragon mural on the wall, flowery counter-tops with a diverse range of mocktails, this spot had us curious!

It has the charm of a regular restaurant but when it comes to food, it’ll be a challenge to dig out Nainital’s equivalent here in the city. Widely famous for their tandoori momos, people usually skip opting for their other variants. But we tried out the Chicken Cheesy And Garlic Momo and Mushroom Dragon Fire Fried Momo too and we can vouch for the fact that you’ll be hooked at the first bite! The portions were hearty and the service was quick, which pushed this place to the top our go-to list.
