Weather in Lucknow has been super dreamy since yesterday and we don’t know how long it’s going to last. The cloudy sky, chilly wind and absence of scorching sun is beyond relaxing, it has finally given us the opportunity to go out in the open without the fear of burning our skin or fainting. So before the unforgiving sun returns, here are 5 ways in which you can enjoy the beautiful weather.

Go for a long drive

The new Lucknow is full of beautiful roads decorated with with lush green trees on either side. The unparalleled charm of driving through a stretch of road that is almost covered with a dense foliage is one of the most relaxing experience. You can head towards the Dayal Paradise road, Shaheed Path, Indira Dam point number 5 and Sitapur highway near the fauji dhaba for a relaxing drive.

While you’re at it, you can look for a some roadside grub to enjoy with the ride, or maybe a stick of ice cream, we recommend the classic thela kulfi or fruit chill.

Get some chai and pakoras

Baarish and chai pakoras go hand in hand, no-one can deny the beauty of sipping a great cup of tea and hogging on some good crunchy deep fried goodness. If you want something boujee you can head to the big sweet shops, but we would recommend the tapri ki chai and thele wale bhajiya. There’s nothing better!

SooTea, Chai shai, chai.comd Chai peeni hai are few options that you can try.

Go to a park and take a relaxing walk

Head to a park, any park and take a relaxing walk among all the greenery. The weather combined with the exercise will surely release enough endorphins to get you on a happy high. Janeshwar Misra, Gomti Riverfront, Lohia Park and Botanical Garden will be your best bet. While you are walking you can hum to any good music, Glacier by James Vincent Mcmorrow, Under the bridge by red hot chili pepper, Kho gaye hum kahaan from baar baar dekho and TVF Tripling’s Hawao ko joh gaye, are highly recommended.

Go out for a lunch-dinner on rooftop/outdoor seating

One of the best ways to enjoy anything, is with food. If you have good food, everything changes. The best way then, to enjoy the weather would be to go to a shmancy restaurant and make an event out of it. Get your friends or your boyfriend/girlfriend and head out for a romantic/dreamy lunch or dinner.

Brew yourself a cup of hot coffee and curl up with a good book

A page from Ruskin Bond’s ‘Simple Living’

Give yourself a small wrist workout, a good cup of coffee, half a teaspoon of water-a heaping teaspoon of roasted coffee and a spoonful of granulated sugar should do the trick. Get yourself a good book and enjoy your fresh beaten cup of coffee.

To kill a Mockingbird, The Alchemist, Time travellers wife and Ruskin Bond’s Simple Living should be on top of your list.
