No more standing in long lines to pay your bills! Municipal Corporation has announced a new structure where house tax in Lucknow can be filed easily through a QR code post May 15. A scanning code will be printed on the bill sent by the authorities and also be available at payment centres for a hassle-free procedure. The taxpayer simply has to scan the code from their registered mobile number and pay the amount. A receipt of submission will also advanced to the registered mobile number.
Till now, one had to visit the official website of the Municipal Corporation to make their payment or visit centres to deposit cash. This alternative is one step forward towards a cashless society and less time consuming for the people.
