Reportedly, work is underway to enhance security and transportation facilities at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA).
Security at the airport, and surrounding areas will be tightened, and the under-construction approach roads will be completed soon to boost the transportation facilities available from the Lucknow airport.
The Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Home and Airport Committee Chairman, Avanish Kumar Awasthi took these decisions during a high-level meeting that was held at the Command Centre Lok Bhawan this Tuesday.
The ACS also commanded airport authorities to make alternative arrangements in the meantime, so that traffic is not affected due to the undergoing construction.
Other important resolutions such as progress made in the construction of the third terminal, the requirement of additional land for the runway and increasing the number of flights to the pre-Covid 19 era were also discussed in the meeting.
