Until now, buildings in the city rarely crossed 25 floors. But with FAR limits increased from 2.5 to 4.0 (and even 5.0 near high-demand zones like Shaheed Path), vertical development is becoming the new norm. Builders are also being incentivised with additional FAR for embracing eco-friendly features like solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and green building norms.
Each of the upcoming towers promises luxury amenities, swimming pools, landscaped parks, community areas, and more. While the scale of construction demands strict compliance with earthquake resistance, fire safety, and traffic plans, experts say these projects will redefine the city’s urban identity, opening the doors to mixed-use spaces, housing, commerce, and employment opportunities. Lucknow, quite literally, is looking up.
