The instructions by the concerned authorities state that markets which are situated on either sides of broad roads with dividers and footpaths which are at least 8-10 feet wide, will be allowed to be functional. It will also be a compulsion for markets and shops to be closed weekly and businesses situated near and in the containment zones are to be kept shut. Restaurants, places of worship, malls along with salons and beauty parlours will also be permitted to open up their shutters, June 8th onwards.
The stores selling essentials like milk, fruits, medicines and ration, are permitted to operate in the buffer zones. Gas agencies too, will be open for business. Although there are these relaxations, the issued guidelines related to security measures will be applied as it is. Markets and other crowded areas in Lucknow, are all set to establish control rooms from where they’ll be actively monitoring the status of the people which includes crowd control and enforcing social distancing norms.
