This lockdown has surely fuelled the creativity of some folks and this period has witnessed quite a few innovative ideas surfacing in the market and on the internet. Joining this bandwagon of creative wizards stemming from the city, are Mridula Sahay Mehrotra and her husband Ankur Mehrotra. The co-creators of Desi Dhaga, a swadeshi brand, Mridula and Ankur have developed a ‘Goggle Mask’ which is a strain-free alternative of the regular face masks we’ve been using.
What’s Good?
Mridula is a post-graduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai, while, Ankur used to be a banker. Their constantly thinking minds got them to to come up with the ‘Goggle Mask’, to combat the current Covid-19 situation that the world is sailing through.
According to Mridula, the goggle mask fits into the face like an eye glass and is user-friendly. It weighs only five to seven grams and it is airtight- does not exert pressure on your nose. It also does not cause any strain on the ears- unlike the elastic masks that are available in the market. The mask is said to be available in the market for people to have their hands on very soon. Well, a product is best when it is fashionably useful.
