As per the data released by the Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Monday, Lucknow has marked a significant decrease in the daily COVID tally. Marking a continuous decline in coronavirus infections for the fourth day, a total of 365 new cases were registered in Lucknow on Saturday. Bringing in some respite to the city folks, 1,196 patients marked their recovery on Saturday in Lucknow. As a consequence, the active COVID caseload of the capital city went down to 4,513 cases, as of February 6. So far, 2,85,209 patients have recovered from coronavirus infection in the city.
Meanwhile, with 2 casualties, the fatality count of the city has now reached a total of 2,678 cases. Notably, ever since the beginning of the pandemic, Lucknow has reported a total of 2, 92,400 cases of this viral infection.

According to the data available on CoWIN, a total of 74,54,740 doses of vaccines have been administered in Lucknow ever since the beginning of the vaccination drive in the country. 31,77,903 beneficiaries are now fully-vaccinated in the city whereas 92,068 people have also received the third shot which is known as precaution dose in India.
At present, only healthcare staff, frontline workers and senior citizens with co-morbidities are eligible for the booster dose. Moreover, under the ambit of a country-wide inculcation drive that was initiated on January 3, a total of 2,81,081 adolescents aged between 15 to 17 have received the first jab against coronavirus in Lucknow, as of Monday morning.
