Lucknow finally got its break from the humidity late Monday night, as rain moved in and stayed through Tuesday morning, bringing much-needed relief after days of muggy, uncomfortable weather. Temperatures are hovering around 30°C today, with the maximum expected to touch about 31°C, a noticeable dip from the discomfort of recent days.
The relief isn’t a one-off, either. The city is likely to stay mostly cloudy through the week, with intermittent showers and thunderstorms forecast over the coming days, keeping conditions relatively cool and the air cleaner than it’s been in a while.
That said, the break may be short-lived. Temperatures are expected to climb back up towards 35°C by Friday, as the cloud cover thins out. But another spell of rain is on the cards around the same time, which should help keep the heat from turning unbearable again. For now, though, Lucknow isn’t asking questions, it’s just taking the rain.
