In a government order issued from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer in Lucknow, new home isolation guidelines for coronavirus patients in the city are released. The directive includes the list of medicines and their dosage that needs to be taken by the infected and his family members to avoid transmission within the residence.
Medical Prescription
Lucknow’s Chief Medical Officer has issued a detailed medical prescription for all the positive COVID-19 patients that are under treatment in home isolation. This prescription is also extended to the family of the patient for prevention and precaution against the coronavirus.
The order directs the Superintendent of all rural and urban communities and the Health Officer of the Lalbhagh Command and Control Centre to schedule consultation home visits of the area doctors and medical staff for all patients under home quarantine in the vicinity. Along with this, a list of medicinal drugs and their dosage has also been prescribed in the order; which include tablets of Paracetamol, Ivermectin, Azithromycin, Doxycylin and supplements for Vitamin C, D3 and Zinc. An adequate bed rest of 8 hours and 45 minutes of yoga is also prescribed. The patients are further advised to take steam 3 times a day.
The family members, who come in contact with the patients, are also supposed to take Ivermectin tablet upto 12 mg on the first and the seventh day of contact to arrest the spread of the virus. This medicine cannot be taken by pregnant ladies and children below the age of 2.

In addition to this, the Nodal Officer in charge of management of home isolated patients need to update the provided Google Sheets everyday to inform the number of contacts established with these coronavirus patients. This may help in the process of contact tracing in case of emergenices.
