Not just a bite! Lucknow sweet shop unveils India’s BIGGEST gujiya weighing 6 kg, bags record
Ahead of Holi, Chhappan Bhog, a popular sweet shop in Lucknow, has made history by preparing the country's largest gujiya, earning a place in the India Book of Records. Weighing an impressive 6 kg and measuring 25 inches, this grand delicacy has added another feather to the city's cap. The massive gujiya was unveiled today at the Phoenix Palassio Mall.
Adding to its significance, the gujiya also celebrates Team India's recent victory in the Champions Trophy cricket tournament. Designed in a tricolour theme, it proudly features the message "Proud of you, Team India," serving as both a tribute to the nation's sporting spirit and a celebration of India's rich culinary traditions.
Pramil Dwivedi, an official from the India Book of Records, confirmed the achievement, stating, "This gujiya surpasses all previous records. After verifying the claim, we found no prior instance of such a large gujiya being made."
Alongside the record-breaking gujiya, Chhappan Bhog also unveiled another massive gujiya dedicated to Mahakumbh 2025, which was showcased at the event, adding to the celebrations.
